Ben Cody, mid-30s, is the reluctant heir to his late father’s furniture shop, Big Dick’s Furniture. Behind the showroom smile is a man unraveling, hooked on cocaine, drowning in debt and estranged from his son. His last hope a clumsy insurance scam after a suspicious fire.
But a fraud investigator named Amanda arrives, calm and relentless, picking at the threads of Ben’s lies. Meanwhile, Michael the unhinged husband of Ben’s mistress, storms back into town, demanding a cut of money that doesn’t exist. With paranoia mounting and his world collapsing around him, Ben scrambles between lies, threats, and betrayals.
Every attempt to regain control only accelerates his downfall. As malfunctioning fire alarms wail through the showroom and his own TV ads play like a cruel joke, Ben is forced to face the consequences of his decisions.
